National parks continue to be a boon for the Cowboy State. A new National Park Service report shows that seven-point-four million people visited national parks in Wyoming in 2016, and spent 945 million dollars in the state. That visitation and spending supported more than 13-thousand jobs and had a cumulative benefit to the state economy of one-billion-180-million dollars. The results represent a six-point-two percent increase in spending and a two-point-nine percent rise in visitation over 2015.
